Fermenting Cellar Wedding
Melissa & Javon booked me ages ago for their Fermenting Cellar wedding. It was my first wedding of the season, and a pretty perfect start to 2017. I haven’t shot a Fermenting Cellar wedding in years, and it’s a very striking space when the decor is done well.
I’m actually back in the Distillery District this weekend at Archeo for Emily & Mike’s wedding.
Melissa was beautiful, she wanted romantic photos, and that wasn’t hard with these two. They obviously have a strong connection that is romantic but also based on friendship. I love it when I can see the strong friendship in a couple’s relationship, it makes everything lighter and easier. I worked alongside some awesome vendors, Kristine from LoveKristine events, flowers by Hunt & Gather Floral and videography with Summerfield Flims. I will do a full blog post when I finish editing, which takes a little while.
Now I have a wedding almost every weekend until the end of October and I’m really excited for what’s to come. Every year I have new things I want to focus on, and I have a better idea of how I want to document a wedding. I love candid photos, romantic photos, and I really dislike stiff poses or making everyone go through the same ones regardless of their personality or style.
Tomorrow I’m heading to the Rockwood Conservation Area for an engagement session, I almost typed conversation area, which would have been confusing, haha. I haven’t been there before but it looks like an incredible location. I love going to new locations or places that are a little further away to do something that is a little different. I actually got my license later on in life, so there is still a lot of novelty in driving around, so that is helpful for my job. My 2017 is full, except for small elopements and photo sessions, and I’m currently booking for 2018.
I’m offering an album promotion at the moment, so get in touch if you’re getting married in 2018!
