Jessica + Dominic – Canadian Club Brand Centre
A few photos from Jess & Dominic’s Canadian Club Brand Centre wedding in Windsor. It was my first wedding in Windsor and I totally fell in love with the Canadian Club Brand Centre! Stunning location and couple. I will be sharing more of Jess + Dominic’s elegant wedding soon, they had their reception at the nearby Ciociaro Club.
Jessica’s Enzoani two piece dress was just incredible, everything about this wedding was perfect, their attire suited the setting which is so important. I can’t imagine a wedding with yellow bridesmaids dresses or something way less formal using this backdrop. I also truly fell in love with rhodendruns at this photo session. You can see them peeking on the side of the stairs, ready to blossom. Their foliage is just beautiful.
I do write a lot about outfits matching surroundings, this goes for engagement sessions and weddings. When you pick your attire and then your photo location, make sure it’s a harmonious choice, otherwise things can look odd. Glitzy dresses with a lot of rhinestones and satin don’t fit in well with rustic greenery.
When we took these photos and it was actually freezing, this wedding was in April and this building is built right on the Detroit River so the icy breeze was coming off the lake and my hands were getting frozen into a camera claw. We took these photos so quickly because of the cold and still managed to get everything we needed. A little snippet about the Canadian Club Brand Centre:
“The lavishly ornamented building, which was built between 1892 and 1894 and housed Walker’s office, offers a late 19th-century Italian Renaissance style. Designed by the Detroit firm of Mason and Rice, much of the luxurious interior comes courtesy of the firm’s head draftsman, Albert Kahn.”
