Antigua Destination Wedding
I’m finally sharing this Antigua destination wedding. This was my first time in Antigua, it was a very beautiful little island and the beaches were amazing. It was really hilly and the Inn at English Harbour was up on the hilltop looking over the ocean. This wedding was recently featured in Destination Weddings Magazine and I worked alongside InStyle Vacations who did an amazing job.
My husband and Eve joined me for the trip although travelling with a 5 month old seriously cramped the vacation dreams I had haha – My earlier life of relaxing with a Margarita on the beach was replaced by sitting in a dark hotel room at 8pm while my husband brought me a few drinks back from the pool bar and we watched movies at a barely audible volume. On top of that my husband fractured his shoulder just before the trip in New York, so we had a few obstacles to say the least. Fortunately the wedding itself was smooth sailing and couldn’t have been more perfect.
Christina & Giani’s families were so loving and happy and they also knew how to party. Sometimes with small weddings the party dies off pretty early, but not with this crew, they cranked it out, and that includes the bride’s father. I love the tradition at Italian weddings where everyone forms a circle with the parent dances and everyone comes together through the song.
The view from the Inn at English Harbour was amazing, the sun sets right over the hilltops. There are moments like these at weddings where I think, how did I even get here? This is pretty amazing, it’s special to be a part of a collective experience, while simultaneously being on onlooker.
Christina + Giani got ready at the Verandah Resort and the wedding took place at the stunning, Inn at English Harbour. The view was amazing for the ceremony and also the setting sun during the reception.
As I mentioned, Susan from InStyle Vacations was great – if you are looking for a stress-free, unique destination planner, she is amazing.
