One King West Wedding
Today I’m sharing Ben and TingTing’s beautiful One King West wedding. This was my first wedding at One King West, I have shot in the suites before but not in the ballroom and it really is an impressive space.
TingTing was so beautiful, I loved her traditional Chinese dress just as much as her wedding dress. Ben & TingTing’s tea ceremony was so incredibly touching, you can see how much family means to them and there were many happy tears shed while exchanging gifts and tea. TingTing is clearly a kind person, Ben is very fastidious and focused and I can see that they balance each other well. They both work in medicine and are driven towards helping people. The speech that Ben’s parents delivered at the reception was so sweet, I do tear up from speeches from time to time, but listening to them describe the love and devotion they felt for Ben and his sister since they were born was really touching. I understand it even more since I have had a daughter of my own.
Their ceremony was at Knox College in U of T. I have shot on the ground of Knox College before, but never in the chapel, it might be my favourite space for a U of T ceremony. The golden light was just incredible. Everything was glowing, and it was more emphasized by the gold sequinned bridesmaids gowns. The space is intimate and impressive at the same time. There are some beautiful nooks and spaces for portraits just around the incredibly impressive staircases at Knox – and then we went back to One King West to take more portraits on the terrace. Overall it’s such a classic venue with old fashioned elegance. I hope to shoot here again.
