Berkeley Church Wedding Photos
We took Nona & Jamie’s Berkeley Church Wedding Photos around the Berkeley Church and in the adjacent Berkeley Fieldhouse. This wedding was featured on EventSource, and you can see their feature here.
Nona was a stunning bride, she was beautiful and sparkly in the way that all winter brides should be. Her dress was amazing and the flowers by Coriander Girl were dark and moody. There is something so cozy about the Berkeley Church in the winter. The candle light and rustic architecture are so inviting and work well together. Their wedding was elegant and fun, I liked the black bridesmaids dresses, and they looked great with the flowers. The Berkeley Church has amazing light, and it’s always golden and glowy – I also love the maze of rooms in the basement as well. I have shot a few weddings in the space, and each time it feels very different and personal.
Winter weddings can be challenging but we really lucked out the weather, it wasn’t too cold and there wasn’t a snowstorm, which is always a relief. Snow can be beautiful except when it’s whipping you in the face and turning your nose red and making your makeup run. The ice can also be very dangerous in high heels! The Berkeley is a good choice for a winter wedding because there are beautiful indoor options if the outside is too miserable, you have many nooks and spaces to take your wedding photos.
I just love these adorable moments when the bride’s dad sees his daughter for the first time.
