Fields on Westlake wedding
Today I’m sharing Shannon & Andrew’s Fields on Westlake wedding. Their wedding was rustic and relaxed, and mostly people enjoyed mingling around the open barn doors and the field outside. They had bins of icy beer and drinks for everyone. The light in the barn is just incredible, the setting sun fills it with golden light and it looks beautiful as the light fades as well. I love a venue that can show the passing of time so beautifully.
Fields on Westlake is a pretty stunning venue if you’re looking for a spot for a Prince Edward County wedding. I shot Matt & Chelsey’s wedding there a few years ago and I’m always happy to go back. Prince Edward County is so charming, even though Fields on Westlake is technically in Bloomfield, but it’s in that general area. PEC is making some amazing wines and there are some other venues out that way that I’m hoping to shoot at – including the Drake Devonshire. Fingers crossed.
The last time I was at Fields on Westlake they had cornfields and this time I think it was soy or something totally different that was planted in its place. It was a nice change actually and I loved that Shannon and Andrew were down with climbing right into it.
Recently Junebug Weddings featured this wedding too, you can check it out here. I shot so many weddings in 2014 and I hardly blogged at all. I’m going to get back to posting now that I’m into a bit of a routine with Eve.
Shannon & Andrew actually live in Alberta so I didn’t get to meet them until their wedding day. That actually happens a fair amount, but it’s amazing how well you get to know people after spending their wedding day together. If you’re having a Fields on Westlake wedding please reach out, maybe we can work together 🙂
